The estate environment’s absolutely beautiful. Wild lives could be seen often, and the engineer cottage we stayed in was very nice. Services from booking to restaurant meals&drinks provisions were also done well. We wish the new ownership change will transit smoothly and all the good staff get to stay.
What can I say? The Tarraleah Estate Resort is incredibly unique! Big part of Tassie’s hydro power history. We loved staying in the school house, eating at the pub, watching the geese and kangaroos on the City square lawn, visiting the goats and learning all about Tarraleah’s history. Happy to recommend a stay there. Lots of different types of accommodation to choose from!
Access to scholars units was very awkward. No signs for room locations. Inconvenient lounge / bedroom arrangement. Tap water has to be boiled before use.
Very comfortable and full of history we really enjoyed our stay, the tavern was open for dinner which was very convenient and was great value. Woudl stay again
I will never stay or recommend this place to anyone, the room was hot and stuffy with no aircon and the windows were painted shut so couldn’t get any airflow into the room. The person in reception we thought was very rude and smug.
very quiet place but nothing to do.
it was nice seeing kangaroos and ducks at our front door of our cabin in the morning.
it was ok for an overnight stay after driving all day.
The people we met there and stayed with all was lovely

Liked: Cleanliness
The accommodation is very basic and our bed and pillows were a bit lumpy. Maybe time for a change?
Everything clean.
Would have preferred a manned reception.
Very clean and tidy. Communal kitchen is large and well supplied. We didn't receive the promised information about checkin, which left us wondering what to do. There is no free wifi and limited internet access, and very little TV channels available, poor reception and pixellation.
