We had to try six (6) rooms to find a decent one. This was not fun at 00:00 to 1:30.
Room 414: Dirt on the ground, musty bedding, and the bathroom was streaked with dust and smelled of mildew. Towels were missing or messy. My skin is very sensitive, so I went to the front desk. The agent offered a new towel and a room change.
Room 442: We immediately had to change again, as the bathroom stank of mold. The flooring is also coming up and the cracks are filled with nastiness. Cleaning needs new vacuums, seriously.
Room 542: Mildew-y bathroom. In addition, the lights in the main room were not working, and there was a giant crack on the balcony door.
Room 419: There was a bloodstain on the sheet and a moldy smell in the bathroom.
Room 417: Again, more moldy smells.
Room 415: There was no moldy smell in the bathroom and no blood on the sheets, and we were exhausted! Notes:
-Blood on the mattress.
-Residue splashed on the wall and floor of the bathroom.
-Dried pee on the sides of the toilet.
-Crusty shower heads.
-The door didn't really work.
Also:
-Not all of the light switches worked. The room lights could be turned on without the key card.
-The hotel elevators can be operated without key cards.
-The towels were quite worn, and coming apart in at least one case.
-The carpets are very stained and other patrons clearly attacked the furniture at some point.
On the upside, the people working the front desk are very capable. It's not their fault the hotel is falling apart.
