The highlight of our time was communicating with Cindi. She's so responsive, and her suggestions for places to eat and things to do are super helpful. For example, I believe she said Aubrey's was one of her favorite restaurants, and it was ours too. We ate outside there one evening and had an awesome meal and time. You can get to all kinds of restaurants and shopping in a half hour or less, in multiple directions. We also liked going for morning walks by the dam, which is maybe a 15 minute drive away.
The house was very clean, and she has obviously spent a lot of time decorating the house because it's very homey and comfortable. Lots of nice touches and well stocked with everything you need. For example, the fridge has all the common condiments so you don't need to spend the time and money to pick up all that stuff.
The beds are very comfortable, we slept very well there, and the wall of glass facing the lake is fabulous. When we were there the trees had leaves so we couldn't see much of the lake - but it's still awesome to have a view of the trees and all that light. I'm sure there's more of a water view from fall to early spring. It may sound silly, but we liked that the lock on the door used a keypad instead of a key. We're thinking of installing one at our house. It's so convenient not to have to carry and worry about a key.
The grill/firepit/ water feature area is awesome. We spent a lot of time there. Are there any negatives? There is no dock, but you are aware of that from the pictures. The property is very steep, the way down to the lake and the driveway, which could be a factor for some people. Again, you can see it's sloped from the photos, but you may not realize how sloped. As you can infer from the many 5's in my review, those couple of negatives weren't major factors for us. We had a really good time!
