Room had all the basics you’ll need - comfortable beds, lamp on each bedside (this is plus!), sufficient lighting, equipped kitchenette (highlight in the good cutting knives ), roomy bathroom with high pressure and very warm water. The hose outside is a big help when you want to rinse your muddy shoes! We did orienteering for 3 days and this definitely was great to have! Location is perfect! Right across the supermarket and a few minutes stroll to the intimate town area. One possible improvement is the tap on the bathroom. It’s just too close to the sink. Water also does not drain fast. Something to look at. Over all, we are absolutely happy with our stay!

Great location near town and grocery. Wonderful staff. Very nice kitchenette facilities and well stocked with cutlery etc. lovely small balcony with view of the fields and hills…. All close to town.

Great stay, property was clean, and plenty of space for the 3 of us. Had a kitchenette with everything we needed to cook dinner and breakfast. Close to a lot of nice hikes and only about 20-25 min from Golden Bay. Property manager was very friendly and helpful, we did use the community laundry facilities which were nice to have and they had laundry baskets, detergent and drying racks, so that was really helpful. Parking is right next to your unit and easy to get in and out of. Would definitely stay here again, thanks for a great stay!!

Very clean, organized and amenities for basic food preparation. Proprietor gave us a free small bottle of milk for tea or coffee. Very friendly and helpful staff. We're recommending this motel to everyone we encounter while we are in NZ until the end of March. Mohua is a gem!

A very clean motel incredibly handy for town. The room had everything for a great stay including a coffee pot and plunger and a decent hairdryer!
