Breakfast was terrible! No cereal nasty eggs and sausage. Elevator was broke they said it had been for a year. No other rooms available and there was no info about that till we were there. My disabled veteran father had to climb stairs to get to the room with extreme arthritis in his knees. The wifi was pointless you could connect but there was still no internet access. Sink counter in bathroom looked like it was going to fall if any pressure was put on it. Half the lights in the room didn't work. 1 1/2 hours before checkout we started getting pushed to checkout. Finally called office and told them 3 people had asked in less than 15 min, not to send anyone else, yes we were checking out at 11. 2nd floor windows have no safety lock. They open all the way with no screen or anything to keep kids safe from falling out.
When we arrived, 12 of us… we reserved 4 rooms to float the river. There was a woman outside that was high as kite looking in all the parked vehicles. I told lady at front desk and she said the police patrol The parking often. I only seen them once in the morning. None that night..
Once we got checked in, all four rooms smelled horrible like musty/mold. The blankets/sheets were dirty and stained. The lady came into room and said they were cleaned just stained. There was hair in the linens. They had not been changed or cleaned. We went to Walmart and bought fabreese and Lysol and used the entire
Can. There were several dogs in the hotel. When we talked to lady at front, she said they were service animals, which was also a lie. They had a litter of puppies in one room and whimpered the entire night.
We had stayed at this hotel prior and it was
Decent enough to rebook. But after this stay, there is no way in hell we will come back to this hotel. I don’t recommend this to anyone other than a crack head to stay here.
The morning we were leaving, there were other guest that we talked to had same experience as we did. So it’s not just our group.
When we arrived at the location we were informed the elevator was broken as was the pool, but the parts were on order. The desk clerk was eating at front desk and housekeeper was SWEEPING the stairs and carpets in room and hallways. We when went to our room the door was propped open which should’ve been a red flag, we entered and called housing keeping back after doing initial inspection due to finding someone’s sunglasses and ribbon the dresser. We then went into bathroom and found the worst stained and dingy gray (supposed to be white) towels, half used body wash in shower, hair on toilet and in shower, blackfish green mildew in toilet. You would think that was enough but no the paint was literally peeling off the walls and there was a ceiling patch if you could call it that since it was only drywall tape on the patch and nothing else. That was more than enough for me to experience when we decided that we were immediately checking out. Our money was refunded, but it was absolutely horrid and disgusting.

The beds were comfortable & Check in staff was very nice! Limited breakfast. Elevator was broken and upstairs smelled like smoke. Our room stayed cool & did not smell in our room. I would stay again.
Staff was super helpful and hardworking. Breakfast was provided, pool felt nice and warm, and the atmosphere was comfortable. My only complaint is that the sheets were stained, but that isnt something that would orevent me from coming again. I plan to come back next year.
We chose a non-smoking room and were given one that smelled like a chimney. Smoke permeated every area of this hotel. The site promised breakfast but for four days they were out of milk, biscuits and etc. I asked staff to pick up milk so my son wouldn't have to eat waffles every morning and they said they would but never did. There was trash every where outside and it appeared some people were living in the rooms. I will NEVER stay in another Rhodeway Inn, especially this one. I feel like I should have gotten a full refund for the conditions we stayed in.
The hotel staff looked like they just rolled out of bed. Very unprofessional looking. Our room was “non-smoking” but the rooms nearby were smoking rooms. The entire floor smelled like cigarette smoke. Our kids kept commenting on how the sheets smelled weird. The hotel is outdated and there were holes in our bathroom walls. The “breakfast” was Walmart donuts with the yellow clearance sticker on the package. I would not recommend this hotel!
When I got to the hotel, they explained to me that I was going to be on the second floor but the elevator was out of service and I could not walk up the stairs. Therefore they traded rooms with someone else. When I went into the room, it hadn't been clean yet. They asked me to wait an hour and they would clean the room. After waiting an hour, I finally got into the room and on the bed was black hair and on the sheets was a bug. Also, there was black bugs in the bathroom sink. Since the hotel was full, they didn't have another room for me. When I talk to the lady at the front desk and told her what was going on she said that she would give me a full refund. I only got a partial refund not the full amount. I would not stay here ever again and I would not recommend it to anyone else. I ended up at Best Western in town and I would recommended it instead.
We had a horrible experience here. We had 2 rooms that were located on the 2nd floor. The elevator was broken so we had to carry all of stuff up the stairs no big deal, however it would have been nice to know when we checked in.
The stairways were really dirty, you can tell they haven't been cleaned in a long long time. As soon as we walked into the 2nd floor all you could smell is strong cigarette smoke. We got to our rooms there was black marks up and down wall on outside of the door from people snuffing out their cigarettes. The rooms smelt just as bad the hall way. Both rooms had several burn holes in the bed spreads. There was white stuff smeared all over the curtains and one of the bed skirts. The chairs were so filthy, we couldn't sit in them. It looked like a 2 year old had been sitting in them eating.
The bathroom was dirty with hair and dirt on the back of the counter. When I talked to the front desk lady she said that she the 2/3 of the 2nd floor is smoking, would give us a new bedspreads, and if need be we could move to the first floor the next day. They brought us 2 sheets in replacement of the bedspreads.
