FANTASTIC PLACE, Definitely recommended
FANTASTIC. I tend to leave honest reviews, and I must say that Monte Rosa is FABULOUS. Including the balcony, we had beautiful views of the surrounding mountain landscape from all four directions (breathtakingly beautiful), and the rooms were also extremely clean and beautiful, like a wooden hut in a storybook. The place is large (one living room + kitchen, bathroom (with the best view in the house), a balcony and two bedrooms). If I visited Switzerland again, I would definitely look for this place again. The couple who own the place are also very kind and friendly, and their food is also fantastic. If I could, I would've eaten much, much more than I did. Fantastic breakfast, view, and rooms. Extremely comfortable that I wanted to stay longer. The only drawback is that the room we stayed in did not have good internet (the lobby nearby has fantastic internet), but the view was so nice that I didn't really want to be on the internet anyway.

Nice apartment close to station
Very well maintained apartments with nice views and very close to train station to zermatt and a couple of restaurants. The staff were very helpful and spoke fluent english and served excellent breakfast. Although little disappointed that pool and restaurant were closed due to off peak season, i would recommend them

Value stay
The staff was friendly and very informative about transportation / activities in the area. Hotel has a restaurant downstairs which was actually quite good. There are two bus stops right by the hotels, so it was very convenient to get to Interlaken East and Interlaken West train stations.

Nice apartment/hotel, but crazy kitchen rules
It was a nice hotel to stay in: close to the train station and reasonably priced. My main complaint regards the rules about the kitchen. This hotel is advertised as having a kitchen available, which was a major selling point to us as we were looking for ways to keep the trip affordable. You have to read the fine print to learn that you will have a CHF 35 charge if you use the kitchen.

You get what you pay for
Rooms okay; food okay; don't use hotel taxi, rather use local taxi..they are cheaper.

Great and friendly location
We really enjoyed our two days despite the weather not being all that it could have been. The couple owning the hotel are very friendly and helpful with advice on the shuttle to Zermatt and then on the Gornergrat and the shuttle station is only 5 minutes walk away. As others have said the hotel is spread over a number of buildings either side of a road but all are accessible via the very secure underground car park and we thought the pool was good too and easy to get to even though we were in one of the furthest blocks from it. If yu have young famly be aware that there is not much of a shallow end. Only downside of room was that we could not find air conditioning - not that we needed it for the weather we had! - but otherwise we thought it was roomy with a good kitchen area - what we booked it for really, and we had read beforehand about the extra charge to use the cooking facilities. Be aware if its important to you that the ground floor rooms in block F don't have much of a view because of the trees at the edge of the garden area - you,ll have to walk across the grass to see Mount Rosa - but we had no complaints at all.

Not recommended.
No kettle to make a hot drink on arrival. No plug available for the bath. Very dated decor. Not at all comfortable. Only thing worth the stay was the buffet breakfast. Glad it was only one night.

CHEAPER than Zermatt !
This hotel was much cheaper than anything in Zermatt. That said, it is 16 Swiss francs return on the train(superb service) so if you go every day it mounts up. The restaurant is excellent and the owner cant do enough to make you happy. There is a small gym and pool but they are both just for fun. The only fault I found was that the maid left our outside door open twice. We had left passports etc in the room so it could have caused us a massive problem but luckily didnt. Very quiet in Tach at night so if you like peace and quiet this is the place for you.

Wonderful site...
We loved our brief time at the hotel. The owners were extremely nice. The breakfast was great. The room was great, and offered a complete kitchen. We could have cooked a meal there, and we wished we had known this before we arrived. But, the restaurant was excellent, too. Nice, cold beer! And, we walked 200 meters to catch the train to Zermatt and left our car there, which was wonderfully easy. Great find and very kid-friendly!

Great apartment-styled hotel, very friendly staff
Our family stayed here in the middle of June, although it is about 15-20mins walk from Täsch station, it is a very nice and cozy hotel. We were given the room at the top of the restaurant (penthouse) with its own lift entrance. The room was very large and comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful and the food served at the restaurant was superb - there was no menu, we were served a selection of freshly barbequed meats with an open salad bar and some cakes for dessert. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Right next to ski train
The hotel was very near to the Monte Rosa train station (about 50m). The three morning ski trains took us directly up to Zermatt where we were able to walk across the street to the ski train. Very convenient commute to the hills. Parking was great (and extremely fortified).

Great value and location
We stayed here for 7 nights on a skiing trip to Zermatt. The Aparthotel wasn't cheap - but Zermatt is eye-wateringly expensive, so in that context it was great value! We had an apartment for 2 people. it was clean, comfortable and well equipped and we had a great view from our South facing balcony. The owners were very pleasant and helpful, and the picturesque and frequent train to Zermatt itself is only a ten minute walk away. We would definitely return here if we come back again for the awesome skiing in Zermatt.

Aparthotel Monte Rosa
Very good hotel with huge rooms/apratment (also possibility for cooking). Covered parking for the cars. The train station is in a few minutes walk, from where you can take the lovely 'gotthard bahn' up to Zermatt. Staff also very friendly and helpful. We had a very good time there.

Aparthotel Monte Rosa- nice alternative to Zermatt
The hotel is in Tasch. Since you can't drive past Tasch we decided to stay here instead of hauling our luggage on and off the train and around Zermatt. It is less than a 5 minute walk to the train station to catch the train up to Zermatt. The owner was GREAT. He was extremely friendly and helpful (not always the case in Europe). They have an underground parking garage that's more like a bunker. Your car would be safe from a tornado in there. Our room was like a small apartment with a full kitchen and separate living area. It wasn't particularly modern but was clean and we were happy with everything. There isn't much in Tasch, so be warned that you will probably be going up to Zermatt for any and all activities. We were cool with that since we had a car and a lot of luggage. If I were taking the train and traveling light I might just pay extra and stay in Zermatt. All in all we were very pleased with this hotel. The beds were firm, but not as firm as many in Europe. We LOVED opening the windows at night and hearing all the cowbells off in the distance.

Loved it!
Our family stayed in the aparthotel for one night and we loved it! The interior was newly renovated. The room was very roomy and clean. The owner of the hotel was extremely nice and helpful; he gave us a lot of information when we told him where we were planning to go during the day. The only downside is that there is no wireless internet in the rooms; internet is only available in the common lounge. I would definitely stay here again!

Great Mid May Stay - 'Offpeak'
Stayed two nights 'off season' in Mid May. Very quiet with restaurant closed until June 1, so dined out in Zermatt. Room rate included a good breakfast of breads, cereals, meats, cheeses, yogurt, fruit, and tea / coffee / fruit juice. Twin bedded apartment on ground floor with sitting out area. Optional use of small kitchen area at additional cost but could boil water for drinks. Approx 12 minutes walk along straight flat road to train station for shuttle to Zermatt. Small Coop shop in Tasch but much larger one in Zermatt opposite train station. Swimming pool and children's play area available. Staff helpful and friendly. Found eating out in Zermatt expensive but would recommend stay at Aparthotel Monte Rosa again when the restaurant is open.
