A mixed review
Our stay in Kingswood was the last week of an enjoyable month in the UK. We found out en route to London that the property we had booked 18 months before on Vrbo would not be available to our party of 8 retirees. The owner claimed he had been broken into the night before(?). At that point we were scrambling to find a similar property.
This property was similar in location and price so we booked it for the remaining five nights of our six night stay in (just outside) of London.
The property was well equipped with many nice appliances, but no explanation about use (tv, kitchen, etc) and had poor internet upstairs. We were supplied with one towel per bathroom per bedroom (there were two people in each bedroom), but the host supplied additional towels upon request. The property was still being cleaned upon our arrival 24 hours after we had booked it.
We do appreciate the willingness of the host to help us find the property due to the difficulty we were having with our phone's internet in London. They went out of their way to help us find and access the property.
What was unexpected was a request by the property manager after we arrived to supply passport documentation for all eight guests (which we did). In addition, we were required to make a $5000 deposit for damages (not mentioned on Vrbo website), which we also did. It took us until today (Nov.13 - we checked out on Oct.10) to finally receive the deposit back after repeated emails requesting its return. Frustrating.
