INTO THE BLUE
This extraordinary home was built by local owners in 2014 and was named after the big blue skies that soar over the Blue Mountains!
From the living area and back deck, the house looks west to the Jamieson Valley and the Leura/Katoomba escarpment, and north to Mt Tomah. At night you will see the lights of Leura and Katoomba stringing the cliff and a sky full of stars. During the day, you can spot large flocks of rare black cockatoos in flight.
The house is double-glazed, centrally heated, and centrally cooled. In the summer months, the back deck is the place to be for a barbeque or a glass of wine, accompanied by one of those breathtaking sunsets. There is also an acre of lawn and garden for kids, dogs, and ball games.
For chilly nights, there is a wood fire in the living room, an array of books and games, as well as streaming services on the TV.
Upstairs is a private main bedroom suite with a king size bed, dressing room, study, full ensuite, and mountain views. Downstairs are two bedrooms with queen size beds and a large contemporary bathroom.
If you are a keen cook, there is a fully equipped and contemporary kitchen and a range of cookbooks. Please help yourself to the extensive spice drawer and to any herbs from the garden.
Into the Blue sits on the Kings Tableland at Wentworth Falls. Known for its big skies and expansive views, the Tableland is a sandstone plateau high above the Jamieson, Kedumba, and Kanimbla Valleys. It is the oldest site of Aboriginal occupation in the Sydney Basin and has been used as a gathering place for the Gundungurra people for over 14,000 years.
The property, including 17 acres of private bushland, is a perfect base for bushwalking, trail running, mountain biking, off-road exploring, and enjoying the views from nearby lookouts. It is also an easy drive to the villages of Wentworth Falls, Leura, and Lawson.
At the end of the street is Lincoln Rock, a hanging rock platform with panoramic views over the Jamieson and Kedumba Valleys. Named after Australian Everest climber Lincoln Hall (his family owns an acreage across the street), this lookout offers some spectacular sunsets.
The propertys 7 hectares (17 acres) of bushland is bounded by Hordern Road to the south, Tableland Road to the east and Blue Mountains National Park to the north and west. The property's land is zoned Environmental Conservation and is home to a wide variety of native wildlife and birdlife, including numerous wombats, the occasional wallaby, several breeds of owl, and large populations of endangered birds, including Gang-Gang cockatoos and red-tailed black cockatoos.

Bookings are only confirmed once a minimum deposit of 50% is paid 31 days or greater to the arrival booking date.

If the person who booked is prohibited by law to travel due to a COVID-19 lockdown, bookings can be transferred up to a year in advance, with one free date change.
