Built in 1857 from stone and hand hewn timber, Vintage 1857 Cellar is the epitome of Rustic Elegance. Once a buggy repair shop during the Gold Rush and the 1st Wine Tasting Cellar in 1970's Amador County, home to the oldest producing Zinfandel grape vine in California at over 150 year's old. You will live out a piece of living history coupled with designer comfort and elegance with Restoration Hardware furnishings and bedding and live edge fixtures. This space oozes decadent style and warmth

Ideally situated in the middle of the Shenandoah Valley Wine Region in the heart of the Mother Lode of California’s Gold Country, Vintage 1857 Cellar is the perfect retreat for your next getaway!

Positioned along the banks of Amador Creek sits Historic Torres Hall in the once bustling community of Amador City during its Gold Rush heyday.

Tiny Amador City, now a beautifully preserved outpost to be rediscovered and treasured for its charm and historical significance will capture your imagination and your heart!

Vintage 1857 Cellar, once the former horse and buggy repair and, more recently, the original Wine Tasting Cellar of Amador County sits just 30 minutes from Folsom, 1 hour from Sacramento and Stockton and 2 hrs from the Bay Area. A great place to stay, we will be back again
This was a fantastic place to stay. Lots of room and a great rustic gold country atmosphere. We stayed for new years but would love to come back again in the summer time to enjoy the nice patio and BBQ that is available. Looking forward to another visit.
