The lobby and other public spaces give a nice and warm feeling.
The checking in to the hotel went smoothly. The only weird thing is a deposit of 50€ reserved from the card at arrival while the room is paid fully in advance. Mövenpick does not rush to cancel the reserved deposit either when the customer leaves.
The hotel is located next to the airport and tramway station. My room was facing the airport terminal and trams were running just under my window. Amazingly there was virtually no noise at all; the windows have a very efficient sound proofing.
The room was decorated in a very youthful and warm, invigorating style. Very pleasant! The bed was extremely comfortable. Equipped with a desk and a comfortable armchair in front of the window. Setting the room temperature was somewhat a mystery. I would recommend adding better labelling for switches for setting the temperature.
The bathroom was clean with very modern interior, decent amenities and including enough towels.
Complimentary mineral water, one bottle of both flat and sparkling type, is a very nice touch. However, it would be better if the bottles were placed in the fridge in advance. There is also a water kettle, teabags, instant coffee and sugar in the room.
While I would otherwise give a higher rating, there was an incident that is worth mentioning. I stayed for 5 nights and on one day, the house keeping had not visited my room at all. This is something that just should not happen in a four star hotel!
