Wonderful

I was fined for parking in the hotel car park even though I thought I or reception had registered my car on arrival. I was fined £60 after appealing and providing clear evidence that I was a guest at the hotel.
So this ended up being a very expensive overnight stay.
If you stay here you must get some evidence that you have registered your car for the car park.
This hotel is well situated for Stratford but the state of the rooms and decor was disappointing given the cost.
We come to the Swan's Nest most years and have always been delighted with our stay. This year the visit was marred by our experience on the last night. We were asked to leave the restaurant and go to the Bear at about 10.35 the Bear asked us to move on to the Hotel Foyer at 11.00 where we were subjected to a very unpleasant man taking pictured of us and when we objected getting very confrontational. The hotel staff managed to stop an actual affray and called the Police who took a statement the next day. It turned out that the Police had been called to the same man the previous night so surely he should not have been there. I was also unhappy the man from the hotel asked when it was all over did we still want the Police to come and went away saying that it was on us!!!

Great location with easy access to all sights and attractions. The room was clean and comfortable but more drawer and shelf storage would have made it excellent
Ideal venue for visiting stratford and great location for theatre going or taking a walk along the riverside. Reception staff were excellent and very helpful. Room contained everything needed and was clean and comfortable. Restaurant provided everything from small snacks to extensive dinner menu at decent prices. Will definitely return.
Good hotel located right across the river from the Royal Shakespeare Company theatre, with pub and restaurant on -site. Clean, comfortable rooms. A good choice for a visit to Stratford
The hotel is very well situated just across the river from the theatre and close to the centre of town with its many attractions. Rooms are large and comfortable and well serviced. My only slight reservation is the noisy air conditioning system that was directly outside my room (67) and that kicked in around 6am. It was not possible to fully close the room windows to minimise noise,
Great location, very handy for town centre and theatre. Nice large room and comfortable bed, though the bathroom needed a bit of a refresh. Breakfast was okay but not top quality and I particularly missed having fresh fruit options.
Superb location just a few minutes walk from the river and town centre. A lovely quiet hotel with the added bonus of ample parking. Rooms are spacious, with a separate snug and large bathroom.
All in all a great place to stay.

Handy stopover
Stayed here as a stopover on the way back from Portsmouth. Hotel was ok, room slightly tired an could’ve done with a bit of a refresh. Things like cracked sink. Good breakfast. If staying use the pub next door (part of the hotel also) much better value. Chargeable parking.

Handy as a stopover
Stayed here as a stopover on the way to Portsmouth. Hotel was ok, room slightly tired an could’ve done with a bit of a refresh. Things like cracked sink. Good breakfast but disappointed with the quality of food in bistro. If staying use the pub next door (part of the hotel also) much better value. Chargeable parking.
