We stayed at the Hôtel Château de l'Ile for 2 nights and it exceeded our expectations. Our room was on the first floor, facing the river, and was very quiet and calm. The hotel staff were responsive and helpful. We found our room to be spacious and comfortable and while the decor is a bit dated, we think it adds to the chateau's charm. The Tesla Destination Charger was also a big plus. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

Great hotel outside downtown next to a a park. Beautiful surroundings. Good service from their staff. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel which was reasonably priced and tasty.

We came to stay for 4 nights/no breakfast over christmas with our 5 and 14 year old kids to escape the usual Uk xmas. We decided to have christmas eve dinner with them for €340 including drinks. None of us ate much from the 3.5 course meal, as most of it was not only bland but a lot of it actually unpleasant in taste! Ive never before experience a meal, where i didn’t like anything. But we had similar experiences with the food in other areas of Strasbourg and Colmar. So it wasnt just the hotel’s restaurant food. The first day we got up early to use the gym - to find out there was none. Better check the facilities properly next time.. The pool and sauna however were excellent. Lucky from the second day onwards the jacuzzi’s heater worked and we could enjoy that too. The beds very massive and comfy. Strasbourg is about 20mins by car. Watch out for speed restrictions in km, as a speeding ticket was send to us in the UK afterwards. Overall I doubt we’ll be visiting Alsace again in a hurry.

Very nice looking historical Castle hotel. However, little disappointed with the normal interior. Service was nice and could be much better if they invest in matching the interior design with its outstanding exterior.

WOW WOWWWW WOWWWWW!! We loved the hotel! So Beautiful, Amazing Relaxing and so much more! Great service, Great food, Amazing rooms very big and comfortable, Great Air Condition, Wifi and all the facilities was so nice and welcoming. Big swimming pool and Jacuzzi, such a nice location and garden - SO SO SO Beautiful over there the hotel and everything in it. No words can explain, it was so Great!! we will go back there for SURE!

Best Place I've Stayed with Family
This was the best place I've stayed in all of Europe. They were so extremely accommodating of our baby. They even provided some snacks for him and a stuffed animal. Their dining is very good, and they have high chairs. It is a beautiful property and the room is very spacious. I could not recommend a place more! We were so happy with our stay.

The property is old but with a lot of history. They preserved it very well thus making it an authentic experience. The casle room is grand and huge with high ceilings. Staff are very friendly.

Booked due to the pool and the location. We were very pleased with everything. The pool was small but the kids approved, so all was well. The building was breathtaking, my wife actually booked the hotel and I was taken aback when we pulled into the parking area...it is gorgeous. The staff made me feel like visiting royalty. The room was clean. I would call this hotel an "experience" more than I would call it a hotel. It was one of the best surprises in our 8 day trip to the area. I can not say enough good things about it. Booking with children - we booked with two children (age 8 and 9) and when we arrived, our room was set up with an extra bed for them along with coloring books and pencils for them. Later in the evening, one of the staff knocked on the door to ensure everything was well. He then offered us some chocolate for the children and wished us a pleasant night. The staff at this location left no detail overlooked and did everything they could to accommodate us, even though we were not French speakers. My experience left nothing to be desired and I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting. Thank you to all the staff! I hope I can have experiences like this in the future when travelling to other locations.
