It was very convenient to the ferry, shopping and eating. It didn't have a fridge or microwave and the hair dryers didn't work. We had two rooms and they didn't work in either. Also there was no breakfast.

I liked how the lobby had a welcoming atmosphere and the lobby was always staffed at check in and check out. The room was clean, neat, and simple for what I needed. With two beds I had room to unpack and pack.The bathroom was simple and clean. The location was so close and walking distance to many food and shopping options as well as ferry service to the island. Perfect for more than one night. I enjoyed using the satellite hot tub the Plaza offered as well after a long day.

Just a simple one-night stay as we were traveling home. Location would be great for tourist to Mackinaw City. The room was very clean and good condition. There were sufficient AC power outlets to charge our iPhones and iPads. The showers was fine (took a little time for the hot water to get hot) and the exhaust fan worked well. I've been in nicer places, but they were 3-4 times the price. Suggested improvement: install a grab bar to increase safety for stepping into & out of the tub/shower (and maybe prevent a law suit).

We have stayed in many hotels in Mackinaw City and this has become our hands-down favorite. The staff was all wonderful from check-in and any time we needed anything. We had a room facing downtown and it was perfect. The room was clean and perfect. I love this location - right on the main street. We parked the car and did not move it all weekend. We will always look for availability at this hotel first now. The only advice I would give is bring your own pillow - the pillows we had in our room were so flat and not comfortable.
