I am a full time wheelchair user and I was very disappointed to discover that the hotel was not equipped for a disabled person. The doors were narrow and I had to access the upstairs room by going through the kitchen. There were also no accessible toilet facilities upstairs. I was very much looking forward to using the pool during my stay but was unable to as there were no disabled facilities available at all. No pool hoist and no disabled changing facilities which totally excludes guests with physical disabilities. I was very disappointed that i could not utilise these facilities that are available for everyone else to use This was also the first “accessible room” I have ever stayed in which did not have any handrails to hold onto to transfer to use the toilet. I am very disappointed that this hotel does not meet the requirements for guests with physical disabilities

Josh was very understanding as i had someone who couldnt use stairs for long but was helped. Josh also offered to help with our suitcase but we had it sorted, however the gesture was definitely appreciated, Josh definitely has a great hospitality attitude, also Josh is very patient, not once was a face pulled :) Cant fail to mention (i think) the name is Angela, well dressed, i hope Angella is FOHM, definitely handles self with grace. The 2 wre kind and professional. As a hotel manager i think they handled themselves very well.

Great however breakfast could improve.
Lovely hotel, staff very friendly and helpful, rooms and bathroom clean. We opted to have breakfast which was good however there was no herbal tea at breakfast despite there being some in the room and there was no dairy free alternatives for milk for tea and coffee or dairy free yoghurt so I didn’t have a hot drink at breakfast. The bathroom has shower gel, hand soap, hand cream and a shampoo and conditioner 2 in 1 and towels provided.

Stone House Hotel was really lovely, the building is very pretty and staff were all friendly and helpful. We only stayed one night so didn't have time to use most of the amenities but the restaurants smelled great and the pool looked very nice!

Decent stay. Lovely room. Very clean room and comfortable bed but bathroom felt tired with mould on rubber shower screen seal. We enjoyed the breakfast. We were not impressed by the email we received prior to our stay. It talked about the £50 holding deposit (a fairly standard practice) and a request to keep noise to a minimum. The content of the email was fine, although we were surprised we needed a behaviour reminder to be honest. But the tone was really off. It felt aggressive and too much and had we not been attending an event for which we needed a hotel room, we’d have cancelled based on this email alone!

The staff were courteous and helpful. The hotel is lovely with beautiful grounds and great amenities. They have a jacuzzi, pool and sauna, which we took full advantage of. The superior twin room was spacious clean and tidy. The breakfast options were good. I was particularly impressed by the availability of freshly baked bread.
