We are absolutely thrilled to have you join us at our cozy glamping teepee retreat! As you embark on this unique adventure, we want to make sure you have all the information you need for a fantastic stay. Here at our teepee, we believe in providing a simplified, nature-inspired experience. So, here are a few things to keep in mind to enhance your stay:

Towels: We encourage our guests to embrace the simplicity of nature by bringing their own towels. Feel free to pack your favorite fluffy ones or quick-drying travel towels for your ultimate comfort.

Firewood: Many of you have inquired about firewood for the fire pit, and while we don't provide it, we encourage you to enhance your experience by bringing your own or easily purchasing some locally. There are convenient stores nearby where you can find quality firewood to make your evenings by the fire pit even more memorable.

Entertainment: Unplug, unwind, and enjoy the beauty of the great outdoors! While we don’t offer cable TV, our smart TV is here for your convenience. You can connect to your favorite streaming platforms, cuddle up, and enjoy a movie night under the stars.

River Adventures: Although we don’t provide kayaks, fear not! The river is the perfect spot for scenic walks, picnics, and birdwatching. Nature enthusiasts will find endless joy exploring the banks and soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. Feel free to bring your own kayaks and take a paddle down the river.

Remember, this retreat is designed to offer you a chance to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and reconnect with nature. Embrace the simplicity, find joy in the little things, and create lasting memories under the open skies.

*** Please note that although these may be listed for 4 people, there is only 1 bed. This is so couples with small children can book the experience if they don't mind sharing the bed with them. ***

Description:

Welcome to our enchanting teepee experience, where nature meets comfort in a unique canvas setting. As stewards of the great outdoors, we want you to fully immerse yourself in the beauty of crisp nights and starlit skies. Please note that our teepee is a true canvas structure without insulation, meaning that temperatures inside may reflect the cooler weather outside.

Chilly Nights, Cozy Comfort:

As the sun sets and temperatures drop, we invite you to relish the authentic experience of feeling the natural elements. To enhance your comfort, we provide a heated mattress cover and an electric blanket. While these may not keep you toasty, you may want to pack additional belongings and plan accordingly for chilly nights.

What to Pack:

Given the open-air design of the teepee, we recommend packing accordingly for chilly nights. Bring your favorite cozy pajamas, warm socks, and perhaps even your go-to winter attire for an extra layer of warmth. It's all part of the immersive experience, allowing you to fully enjoy the magical ambiance of our teepee retreat.

Winter Wonderland Attire:

Cozy pajamas
Warm socks

The Dancing Deer
The Dancing Deer exceeded every expectation! It had everything you could possibly want for a perfect glamping experience and then some. The attention to detail was impeccable, and the modulated storage container for the community showers and restrooms was an added bonus that made the stay even more convenient. The atmosphere was serene, comfortable, and full of charm—truly a unique and amazing experience. I can’t recommend this place enough! I will be coming back.

Nice short drive from our home in Ohio. The place was clean and had everything we needed for a short getaway. The National Forest was close and bountiful in hiking and wonderful views.

Great for a quick getaway!
Had an awesome time relaxing and grilling some good food! They have just about everything you need included, definitely bring some warm clothes for the night time and turn the AC on asap if it's a hot day. Can't recommend this enough to get out of the city for a few days and let your mind unwind.

Glamping at Rio Rioja
The teepees are NICE. The bed is comfortable and the space heater + heated blankets came in clutch in the chilly nights. We had plenty of fridge space for the small dinners we brought, and had plenty of storage space for our clothes and kitchen items. Our dog that we brought with us had a blast. The bath/shower house on the property is a shipping container, and was immaculately clean/stocked for a campsite. Don't have a single bad thing say about our stay. If you're on the fence, book it. You won't regret it. Can't wait to come back!

Tranquil little spot. Perfect for the dogs to roam and play. It was cold last night and the heated bed was amazing. The bathrooms were clean. The teepee was really cool to experience. Hammocks and fire pit made it very relaxing. Daniel was a great host and responded quickly.
