Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities
Property felt safe for the most part. There was no worries of the locals but instead of the renters. Some of the guest behavior was suspect. The beach was beautiful and quiet. But Rocky so bring your water shoes. The pool was clean and open pretty much all day so night swims were an option. We didn’t hang much at the property. But the bar area was usable and never too crowded as was the pool and beach. No issues with chairs or space. The food was actually really good when we ordered. We ate at Lanai one night which was good but their hours are not great. The market was pricey and did not offer everything on the menu. The dove shop had som good souvenirs and offered some snorkeling excursions at reasonable prices. We did the sunset cruise and booked through concierge but the price was unreasonable given the lack of excitement for that event. The location was fairly remote and taxis are super expensive. Unless you plan to stay there, plan on paying a lot of money to get around. Taxis to Redhook, the ferry, downtown, and the airport cost anywhere from 12-20 pp so for a family of 4 can cost $80 each way. Made for very expensive dinners and shopping trips. The service was lacking. For a family of 4 we had 3 bath towels and 3 mini shampoo and conditioner bottles. I had to call for more and middle of week request soap to clean dishes, more toilet paper, beach towels and coffee packets for the room. Only one day did it arrive same day and hours later after repeated phone calls.
