a large hotel that caters for all ,entertainment good ,staff ,front desk all very helpful ,food options varied and the option to eat at the smaller resturants a very nice idea .Good location to explore the island .would like to return soon

First off...the location is good with wonderful views if you get an ocean view suite. If you get an inside room, especially on a lower floor...forget privacy. Our major problem is the rooms are WAY overpriced. We had a 10th floor suite, and within 1 day, had to move out because of sewer gas smells in the room were so strong we couldn't sleep there (Room 1052 - avoid at all costs!). Then we moved to room 469 for a night so they could attempt to fix the other room. We were told they fixed the smell issue in 1052, but since we moved out, we couldn't return because that was an upgrade! After arguing forever, we were told we could move back to 1052. They fixed nothing! They deodorized the shower and luckily we were departing early the next day because the next morning the sewer smell was getting stronger! Anyways, they also need to change up the breakfast buffet....almost always the same bland foods. We make multiple trips to Malta each year...we will avoid this hotel from now on and make sure our friends know of the issues also.

Hotel says it’s four star I would say it’s more like two / three had breakfast one day and didn’t go again thought it was average and very very best hotel rooms are very basic. Nothing like a four star. sadly don’t have a great deal.of good things to say about the hotel. Pool areas were nice I tried to go in with my brother to have a drink. They wouldn’t serve him said he had to pay €60 to be able to have a drink in the hotel pool which I think outrageous. finish I’ll trip off on the last day cold water stopped working at the toilet stopped working too.I wouldn’t stay there again very disappointed

My stay at Qawra Palace Resort & Spa was nothing short of awful. Some staff were pleasant enough, but many acted like they couldn’t care less. The lifts took forever because the hotel is so overcrowded, and when they finally came you’d hear the bell echo through the halls – my room was near the lifts and I could hear every single person passing by. The rooms are absolutely not soundproof. The rooftop bar served me one of the worst mojitos I’ve ever tasted – completely undrinkable – and I didn’t bother buying another drink for the rest of my stay. Breakfast on the first morning was so bad that I decided to pay extra and eat out elsewhere. Despite booking a double, I was given a twin room, and the beds were rock hard and uncomfortable. The rooms themselves are shabby and tatty, with a door that would only lock if you slammed it. Housekeeping ignored “do not disturb” signs, walked into my friend’s room while they were in the shower, and woke me up at 7:30am just to knock again minutes later about an ironing board I didn’t even have. One night, a party took over the venue and the chaos continued back in the rooms until 4am, with music and shouting carrying through the walls. For what’s meant to be a “spa hotel,” the toiletries were pathetic – just a cheap shower gel and soap. To top it all off, the Wi-Fi was useless and barely worked. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. I would never recommend this place to anyone, and I certainly won’t be returning.

Good Value for Money

Hotel represented good value for money and was in a location that made trips out in a taxi to see the sights low cost. Hotel was clean and the buffet in the self serve was of a good standard. Roof top pool and space were good to hang out during the day. The hotel feels like it has been added onto over the years and certain parts, while clean, need modernising. Air con in the room made our clothes damp and the courtyard outlook wasnt great. For the price paid it met with what I was expecting.

Great variety of food, great upstairs pool area, good that you can visit a la carte restaurants for free during all inclusive stay. South American restaurant was particularly good. Easy transport links if relying on buses/taxi (reccomend bolt). Bed however wasn’t the most comfortable, rooms had nice air con/facilities. Was welcomed with some fizz and plate of snacks for our anniversary which was nice. Plenty of sun loungers available each time we went to the pool often later on too and nice frontage to the rock beach. Standard all inclusive drinks, unfortunately on a mixer dispenser platform for cocktails but they were drinkable, good beer, wines also nice. Would stay here again if we went back to malta.

We had a really good stay at the Qawra. We’d been to Malta before and we preferred the buffet option this time compared to last time. We liked that the hotel provided an option to dine at a more fancier location on site. Hotel room was always clean and air con was working perfectly! Plenty of room to sunbathe and we enjoyed access to the sea from the hotel. Staff were friendly and accommodating. In terms of room for improvement, the hotel feels really dated on the insight. I think they are going through a renovation but it needs a lot of work to reflect its 4* rating. Considering our stay was during a very hot period, the general areas of the hotel were incredibly hot such as the lifts, the lobbies and in the corridors. It would benefit from having air con. So at times it was quite uncomfortable when going down to dinner etc.

I checked into my first room: The toilet flush didn't stop. The bed linen, pillows and duvets has an awful smell- almost like someone has urinated on them. Room service came immediately but the guy was very dismissive and said he couldn't smell anything: not a surprise as he was appropriately dressed in uniform and more like a painter. People walking around topless: I mentioned this to reception staff and they said there is a sign but they didn't have the courage to tell the customers not to walk around like that at reception. Also, there was a noise issue: the sea view portion of the hotel is nice, but the main central bit is like a run down council estate.

Place was nice, rooms were good, plenty of sunbeds, we weren’t all inclusive, only breakfast which was ok and not really crowded even at busy periods, but not as good choice as some other similar all inclusive places I’ve stayed. Howe ver the beach was closed as there was a sewage overrun into it, which you could smell from the sunbeds, not really a problem for us as we just walked up the coast to go swimming but not great if you wanted a dip in the seanext to the sunbeds, the rooftop bar would have been ok. Not sure of this was a one off but they seemed quite prepared for it and obviously have no control over it happening as it’s outside their hotel, it’s just the overflow pipe is in the hotel bathing area. Rooftop is nice bult it’s a small pool for the number of people
