There's a general lack of attentiveness. The bad marking is for others, not necessarily me: I walked in on crutches. I was placed on the 2nd floor as far from the elevator as possible. No directions on how to shorten my travel from parking lot to room. No feedback on if that was the best they could do. If it was, fine, but everything about the experience screamed indifference. It so happens I didn't mind the distance (good workout for my arms), but the indifference speaks to culture and how someone else may be treated. That's unacceptable. Hotel room seemed clean but it's an old feel. Price was competitive, but I don't think basic expectations should be associated with: treatment, cleanliness, engagement, respect, awareness. Hospitality industry has been tying these tenets of human decency to what you pay, for decades now. I would not have received this indifference if I paid $200/night. It's unacceptable.

The room was dirty, hair on the shower walls, not stocked, run down and dirty. Plus the clerk when we showed up after having been delayed on our flight said our reservation was canceled and we would have to pay for another reservation although we were not getting refunded. After some arguing late at night she reinstated our room reservation. Horrible experience from bad check in, to dirty room. Avoid!!
