Pleasant surprise. Easy access to major highways. Breakfast was fabulous. Easy convenient check in and out. Only complaint although minor was lack of space for luggage and vanity for bathroom items and getting ready. We will definitely be back and highly recommend!
Overall good experience. Only person from lodge we saw was Vicki, the breakfast hostess, who was great. Breakfast was outstanding. If I were to stay again I would stay on the opposite side from interstate. Very noisy, hard to sleep. Great place for small gathering or event, not so great for restful getaway.
I fly in and out of St. Louis once a month for work. I've stayed at multiple hotels, not remaining with the same one due to whatever issue. I stayed at The Lodge on a whim, thinking it would be fun to stay at a themed B&B. I completely underestimated how Beautiful and Stunning this property would be! The room was warm, and inviting, and incredibly comfortable. We had THE BEST BREAKFAST I believe I have ever had outside of the comfort of my own home, including any restaurant we stopped at! I don't know What he put in the potatoes and omelet that I had, but it was downright Magical! The entire experience that morning was one of peace, happiness, and we had a Genuinely WONDERFUL stay! I can guarantee that This is Exactly where we will be returning Every Month! (Stay in the frontier room if you'd like, that was the room we had, but we're going to try the Alaska room next!)
Thank you for your hospitality, your kindness, and how impeccable you kept the property for us and the four other families that were there!
One of the best experiences ever! We stayed in the Washington Suite and had a fabulous getaway weekend. And Vicky our hostess was the BEST! She gave us excellent ideas of things to do in the area. If we are ever in the St Louis area again we will be back!
Nothing bad to say about the property, the staff, the stay other than the bed we felt was a little too hard and the pillows were also very hard. We asked for soft pillows and they brought additional pillows, but they were also hard. Maybe mattress topper or your pillows would be beneficial. Just extremely hard for us.
This B&B is top notch! There is plenty of space to just be, whether indoor or out. Love the lounges and seating throughout, love the balconies and patio, indoor fireplaces, outdoor fire pit, patio swing, even the doe and fawn on the grounds - which tells just how peaceful this place is. Breakfast is deliciously made to order, with chef's choices earning true sighs of delight from both of us.
This was the most intetesting place I have ever stayed. The room was large, even had a 4 person table in it. The breakfast was very filling and Vicky took great care of everyone.
AWESOME! A lovely property in the middle of a huge city, I felt like I was in the country. Clark, my host was gracious and attentive.
I. have already told my friends they had to stay here when they come to STL.
This stay was on the last night of a cross country road trip with a friend. We stayed in one of the largest suites with a huge bathtub and beautiful furnishings. There was a wedding happening in the hotel as well that night but the party didn't inhibit our stay at all. It was kinda fun to take a peek at the newlyweds while they were taking photos. For being so close to a highway, it felt closer to being in the woods than a city.
The breakfast in the morning, even though we came down almost at the very end, the food was delicious and the waitress was just lovely to talk to as she bustled to set up our table. She had put the settings away not knowing we were just sleeping in late that morning. I'm really curious what the check in process is like if you arrive on time since everything else was an smacking one of a kind experience. Our keys were in an envelope with my name on it and a note with hotel instructions, like where our room was, on a beautiful writing desk in the front entryway.
Someday I hope to come back to this property for a weekend getaway or something like that. I would say my favorite feature was the TV not being front and center on the wall across from the bed. It was off to the side, up high, and small. You could forget it was there and we did. This was my first time in St. Louis and I am excited to visit again. It's live to se the property in the fall next time I think.
My sister and I wanted to visit our home town, we wanted to spend sometime on the greenway and be close to relatives. It was amazing, so much fun....breakfast was delicious and the Clark couldn't have been nicer or more professional. WE will be back.
