Ideally located if visiting St. Ignace area. Pet friendly which was why we booked but beware of high pet fees - could’ve rented the room for additional night in what we paid to have our two dogs stay with us.
Our room was not clean on arrival but it was after 6:00 pm and aware nothing would be changed by contacting the front desk as they were fully booked and housekeeping was not available. Wrappers on the floor, chips under the luggage rack in the closet, & empty Coke can behind a dresser. A message was sent to the manager via Expedia but I never received a response. Additionally, they do not turn over your room “due to COVID” unless you call before 10 am and request it. As a traveling healthcare worker, this just doesn’t happen anymore.
On our 2nd day a housekeeper entered our room after knocking twice but w/o announcing themselves. We weren’t able to get to the door before he just walked in. He apologized then left. As I made my way towards the door to lock it, I heard him say “they haven’t left the room yet”. Curious as to what was going on, I went to the hall to ask why the comment was made because we had booked a 3 night stay and had only stayed 2.
Apparently we were supposed to be told at check in that our room was adjoining and someone else had “requested” that room. We were able to “keep” the room after they contacted the other party. I read many other great reviews however, my family’s experience was less than ideal.
