If you’re handicapped, this is not a hotel you can stay at. There’s no elevator and they still have authentic room keys.

One maintenance person was swearing while me and my kids were packing the car, which is just not appropriate at a family hotel. We stayed there two years ago, and the property is more run-down since then. One breakfast bar worker noted that the owners did not want to pay for some upgrades, including electrical in the breakfast room and a new pancake making machine (which stopped working multiple times while there). The main lobby staff were friendly and helpful.

Upon arrival we were informed that the hotel was short staffed and no in room cleaning services would be required, ie trash cans were not emptied, no fresh towels, no service items replenished (coffee/tea/shampoo etc). The breakfast was only open between 7.00 and 9.00, the pancake making machine was either not operational at all or broke down each day we stayed. There was insufficient space allocated in the breakfast area for the number of hotel guests. When discussed with the hotel management team they basically shrugged their shoulders and offered no response .

Nice view out the back balcony. Room was clean and upgraded. Building and hallways need to be refurbished. Music coming from one of the rooms nearby disturb the otherwise peaceful atmosphere. People smoking pot didn't help either.

Gorgeous views! We loved our stay simply for the views! The mattress wasn't great for two people--it sank towards the middle. However, the room and bed were very clean and well kept. The staff was mostly friendly. The breakfast room was way too small, not well laid-out, so hard to get around even when not a lot of people. Would we return? Overall, yes.

We come to the BavarianHaus just about every year with the kids. As usual, the staff was as friendly as could be and very helpful. The amenities at the hotel (i.e. the pool, kayak rental, bussing to various places, breakfast, etc) were wonderful as usual. One thing i moticed this year is theres a lot more people coming it seems, its not our little unknown spot we seemingly could have almost all to ourselves, which is a good thing for the BavarianHaus, glad to see them getting good business and still providing good service.
