Our stay at Travelodge was overall good, with a few areas that could be improved. The mattress was comfortable, though the pillows and comforter weren’t as great. The room had all amenities, which made the stay convenient. However, the curtains did not block light properly because of their length and width, so the room stayed brighter than expected at night.
The bathroom wasn’t ideal. Water splashed a lot, the floor got messy quickly, and there was no proper ventilation. I also slipped in the tub because there was no anti-slip mat, so adding one would help. A towel rod inside the shower area would also be useful.
The front desk lady was polite and guided us about the shuttle. Still, one comment felt strange. She said, “since your ancestors are from India, I am giving you a big big room,” even though we had booked and paid for that exact room type. It’s friendly, but confusing when what we paid for is presented as a favor.
Housekeeping was unclear. The website mentions daily service, but when my husband requested it, the reaction made it seem like we were asking for something extra, although it was eventually done.
Also, be prepared to pay with a card that has the same name as the booking, as they are strict about this.
Overall, it was a good stay.
