The staff was friendly, efficient and helpful. The property does need some upkeep, eg: the switch on the hot tub jets was broken and the jets were a bit too powerful. There was an unpleasant odor in our room. The breakfast was very good and the staff there were terrific.

I'm not gonna lie, I was pretty disappointed with this room. Everything online made this seem like such a nice hotel. I normally don't pay more than $70 for a motel style room and everything that I saw on the website showed this as a nice hotel updated rooms and it was not. The curtain didn't close all the way, there were spiders in my room and it had a funny smell, it was so much smaller than portrayed in the pictures. I felt like I was paying for the namebrand and not the room because the room was not worth what I paid

We stayed at this hotel 2-3 years ago and were amazed at the quality. The price was significantly less then, the breakfast options were more extensive, the hot tub and pool were amazing, and we had a terrific stay. This time was rough. The pool & hot tub were closed the first night of our stay but we were told it would likely reopen the next day. The next day, we found out that it would not open until well after our 3 night stay ended. When we brought this up to the clerk at the desk, we were told that "everyone should have been notified" and that I should have been alerted upon booking. When I informed the clerk that I had booked our stay about 2 months ago, she replied, "oh, well then you wouldn't have known." I was told management would be alerted to our disappointment, as the hot tub was a huge factor in deciding to spend more to return to this hotel. Breakfast was subpar at best. Previously, there were a tremendous number of options. This time, options were very limited and carb-heavy. Our first night of the stay, our neighbor had their TV so loud that we couldn't hear our own. When we told the clerk this, she responded, "Yeah. The walls are paper thin." Overall, we wish we would have stayed elsewhere. We would have saved money, been less frustrated, and kept our positive memories of our first stay at Angler's Lodge.
