Arriving late at night, the surrounding area and parking lot had a super sketchy vibe. Inside the lobby was clean and retro unique but the sketchy vibe was still there. We get up to our room and first thing we put the DND placard on the door knob. Then we find 1bed instead of 2 queens but being exhausted from our trip, we just deal with it. The morning greets us not very well rested. Not because of the outside noise, (It wasn't really bothersome at all) but because the constant door slamming kept us all on edge. In the daylight we found our room to be rather dirty. The bathroom floor had some sort of sticky brownish goop on it. The tub had hair in it. The refrigerator had somebody else's left over food in it. The carpet was dirty with larger spill stains on top of that. The bed was made neatly though I can't attest to the comfort of it because we were so tired, I'm pretty sure we could have slept on rocks and not noticed. Stepping out onto the balcony being able to see the beautiful curvature of the building was a nice treat, but because the balcony was directly over the loby, when the staff stood outside smoking and that smoke came right up towards us making it hard to breathe. With no knocking or announcements, the housekeeper quietly, let herself into our room. Then seeing us, with a stunned look on her face, she backed out of our room. Lastly, every member of the staff was very friendly. The breakfast area was clean and well stocked.
