Lovely apartment, just an issue with payment
The apartment was really nice and clean, good value for money, and the bed was really comfortable. The only things I could fault with the room is there was a fridge I was not expecting which would have been great, but it did not work properly and only kept water room temperature. I was also only given one toilet roll and my room was not serviced until the third day of my stay when I was only staying for four. When I booked through Hotels.com, it said pay at the property, which I assumed meant I could pay by any means I wish during check in. However just before I arrived the payment was taken from the card I used to secure the booking. I explained this to the lady on check in who just kept saying she needed to take payment on arrival. She then went and charged my card again, not asking how I would even like to pay. So I had now been charged twice. Luckily it was my credit card I used to secure the booking otherwise they would have taken my spending money. I will say however once she listened, the lady was really apologetic and helpful at getting me the money back. I did not receive the refund until I got home so it’s just really good job I did not intend to pay with a different card or I would have been left short on money for my holiday! Despite this I would stay again as I did enjoy my stay
