When we arrived at the Griffin, to our surprise, our reservation was canceled. Apparently, the Griffin had a water leak and were in the process of repairing the damage. They said that an email was sent to us canceling our reservations 2 days prior. We were on a cruise at the time and did not get this email because we had no service while on the cruise. It was a very unfortunate situation. We are from the USA and found out upon arrival in England that our cell phones were not working properly so we got no notification concerning the cancellation of our reservation. This was a huge problem for us since our cell phones were not working and we had no transportation. Fortunately, we were were able to get on the Wi-Fi at the Griffin and booked a different hotel. Since the Griffin canceled our reservation, I am assuming that the Griffin will refund all funds that we made for our Griffin hotel reservations.
