Stay and Cruise
Our family stayed for a couple of nights prior to our cruise out of Southampton. Very comfortable and cozy home, well stocked with coffee/tea and baked goodies (and a bottle of wine). Very close to a couple of great eateries (loved Pig in the Wall). Walkable to the shopping mall and center of town. The host was quick to respond to questions and requests, and was very accommodating to store our many pieces of luggage for a few extra hours on our day of departure. Thanks, James!

Friends Trip to British Isles
We flew in 2 days early before going on a British Isles cruise. What a good decision. We had so much fun! There was a music festival in town, a wedding at The Wall. This place is charming, beautiful & beds so very comfortable. The owner is quick to answer questions. We could walk everywhere!

Lovingly restored historic home in the heart of Southampton
My husband, daughter and I stayed for two nights prior to leaving on a cruise from Southampton. We could not have made a better choice! The home is lovely with a well stocked kitchen, nice outdoor spaces for eating or relaxing, and comfortable bedrooms. We were so close to everything we wanted to do that we never missed having a car. it was all quite walkable. If you book this listing, you will be glad!

A fantastic townhouse in the heart of Southampton
A fantastic townhouse in the heart of Southampton, mere minutes walk from great bars, pubs, restaurants, shops, and activities of Southampton. Tucked away in the quiet Westgate Street, this is an excellent house. There were only two of us, and our dogs, but the house is huge and can cater for 6 people easily. Kitchen, living area, bathrooms, dining room, main bedroom and hallway all excellent, well adorned, and everything is very nicely done. Wi-Fi is good, easy to use and good speeds and quality, the TV is excellent, some Apps are helpfully signed in. Not a big fan of an AGA, and the heat from it was a bit much at times in the kitchen, lord knows what it’s like in July, off I hope! But it's fine and manageable. Everything you need is in the kitchen, coffee pods, tea, coffee, cleaning items, loads of crockery and cutlery, and the owners respond incredibly quickly to any questions. Getting in was easy, keylock and keys very easy. The outdoor areas are very useful for our dogs, but it was too cold and wet to use properly when we were there (Mid-April). Car parking is very rare in city centre cottages, so having parking was much appreciated, it's tight and tricky, but very much appreciated. Unless you have a tiny car (circa Ka, Corsa, Micra, Smart), don't attempt the garage. The garage looks wide enough, but the camber of the road/path and the dropped kerb are tricky to negotiate. Local recommendations: Dancing Man, Beards and Boards, Bottle & Stoat, Coriander Lounge ...
