The neighbourhood is very quiet. To access Boat Lake, turn right our of the driveway and about 200 yards down the road, you'll see a path to the left which leads to the lake. Depending on water levels, there could be more or less "beach area". The bottom is sandy but does feel a bit mushy so you'll want to wear watershoes. We request no motorized watercraft on Boat Lake due to safety. There is quite a bit of vegetation and some areas with rocks close to the surface that can be dangerous if you not familiar with the lake.

Pike, Bass and Perch fishing/ice fishing is good here.
If you want to rent kayaks, a canoe or paddleboards, there are rentals 10 minutes away at Suntrail Source for Adventure in Hepworth. This is also where you can rent snowshoes in the winter! If you have your own non-motorized watercraft, be sure to bring it along as the lake is great to explore the wildlife and waterfowl.

At the end of your adventurous or relaxing day, you can see the gorgeous sunsets over the lake. Bring some chairs or a blanket.

We are centrally located, minutes from Wiarton, 25 minutes from Sauble, 40 minutes to OwenSound, 1 hour to Tobermory and the Grotto and just over an hour to Blue Mountain.

Nice, spacious, clean cottage.
Very quiet area, pleasant and helpful neighbours, good base from which to explore Bruce Peninsula. Great front deck. No direct view of Boat Lake. Nice fire pit in the woods at the back.
