Summary:
With amazing waterfront holiday home located in the beautiful beachside township of South Arm, is approximately 40 minutes from the city of Hobart, and a half-hour from the Hobart International Airport.
Blessington Beach Retreat boasts "forever changing" stunning views across the Derwent River to Bruny Island, Tinderbox and Mount Wellington. This property accommodates up to six guests and is just 50 meters away from the beach!
The Space:
Set out over two levels, the top level comprises of a large open plan living area with floor to ceiling windows that showcase the amazing Tasmanian scenery, with double sliding door access to the front balcony, a wood heater to keep you warm during the cool Tassie winter and further sliding door access to rear deck, barbeque and fully fenced garden. There is a well-designed, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and island bench, leading on to the hallway where you then access the main bathroom with separate shower, bath and toilet, the second bedroom with queen bed and built in robes and lastly the main bedroom, with a king bed, walk in robe and ensuite.
From here, passing back through the light filled hallway you then access the staircase to the lower level which takes you to the second living area again with sliding door access to the lower deck area and beach access. The third bedroom with built in robes is behind the large white sliding door with a queen size bed, down the hall to the fourth bedroom with two sets of bunks and the third bathroom. Also on this level you can access the laundry with front loading washing machine.
The Bunk Room (2 sets of Single bunk beds) not available unless requested - A surcharge of $20 per bed will apply for beds that have been used or messed up.
Guest Access:
Guests have full use of the property for the duration of their stay. We are locals and can be contacted when needed.
The Neighborhood:
The Blessington Walking Track is only a few steps from the lower deck, which if you turn left, will lead you to Fort Beach and as far as Pot Beach with views of the Iron Pot, famous for the turning point into the Derwent River for the yachts in the Sydney to Hobart yacht race. If you turn right, this will lead you to the stairs to take you down to the picturesque Spring Beach where you can enjoy the sun, sand ,swimming and many beach activities or just strolling along to collect shells and relax.
If you continue along the Blessington Track this will then lead you to the following:
• South Arm General Store, Post Office & Petrol Station – 750 m – 9 minute walk (2 min drive from property),
• South Arm Jetty & Boat Ramp – 13 min walk (2 min drive)
• South Arm Pharmacy, Gym, Hairdresser and Café – 10 min walk (2 min drive)
• South Arm RSL & Golf Course – 20 min walk (3 min drive)
Getting Around:
Guests have full use of the house for the duration of their stay
