We had an excellent stay at Lonkot! I would highly recommend this if you are in the area. Unfortunately, we had to leave early in the morning before breakfast, but the kind young woman who checked us in brought us some pastries and other breakfast items to enjoy on our next-day early-morning drive. The room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable.

Beautiful property right on the beach
Wonderful room and property. The small house is beautiful and they have a great jacuzzi. The property is on the beach.
Very peaceful stay. Romantic surroundings. Nice soak in a hot tub. Restaurant is pricey (!) as is the norm for food in Iceland. I would consider staying again and highly recommend for those traveling the Ring Road.
Absolutely the best thing that could have happened on our last night in Iceland. Beautiful location, great rooms an WC's. The food was wonderful, especially the Dijon Cod. Katarina went above and beyond to make our stay great, oh yes did I mention the soaking tub, and the observation platform.
A beautiful country hotel in a remote and stunning location. The manger and staff are exceedingly welcoming, and the restaurant is sublime. The hotel's hotpot is an added bonus. A very special place!
This was the most unique and beautifull night of our 6 in Iceland. The hotel is an old farmhouse that has been renovated on the inside, to comfortable guestrooms. If you choose to eat dinner there, it was fantastic and worth the steep price tag. The views from there are also priceless. Only disappointment was their hot tub was being repaired, but should be available soon. Wish we could have stayed longer!
Very peaceful, remote location. Lovely restored farm right on the water. Good breakfast.

OK place to stay in the country.
We stayed two days and were surprised when the room was not serviced between days. Also, for a place that claims a great restaurant, the breakfast was mediocre with warmed dinner rolls and a boiled egg. Definitely overpriced.
We were here at the beginning of the summer season and were actually the only ones staying at the resort. It was beautiful and I cannot say enough about how peaceful it was. Everything was great. The most comfortable room of our trip. Really lovely breakfast. Just great. I want to go back!!
This wonderful little resort was so peaceful and quaint. Shared WC and showers, rooms were small but comfy. Lovely hot tub in an adjoining building. It sits next to the Greenland Sea on the north side of the island. They have a little tower you can climb to get an amazing view. The staff was very friendly. It's located just a few kilometers from Hofsos, a lovely little town that was fun to walk about. Our room was quite affordable.

Liked: Staff & service, room comfort
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Shower doesn't drain, light bulbs are burnt, the water tap broke. Nice place in a peaceful and serene location but not that well maintained.
While the first impression may give you second thought, the stay was a hidden gem during our trip around Iceland. The staff was super and rooms very clean. Just wonderful...
