Shangri Sentosa , you can do better.
Checking in was easy and the staff was friendly. However we saw a cockroach running around in room which was quite shocking but maybe understandable ? Cant be expecting 100% pest free i guess. Room was in classic theme but feels dated. Felt that the standard curtain would definitely be a lot easier to draw then a louver panel which you cant even adjust the angle to allow some lights in. Where a day curtain allows you to do that with privacy. Think some works can be down to the bathroom like having a heated WC and a bidet spray. Understand cost and time frame maybe an issue , but you techically dont have to tear down the whole bathroom to get a heated WC and a bidet up. Lastly , ask a waitress to help with the drinks order only to be told to order myself over at the counter with i thought was dam weird.

Overall worth the stay. Friendly staff. Good spread of buffet breakfast. The transport staff could have been friendlier and helpful towards the hotel passengers. For e.g, announcement of the respective stops would have helped the passengers, especially the overseas tourists, to know which stop it is. It would also be extremely helpful and caring to take note of the elderly passengers who may need more time to embark or disembark.

During my first night, I was staying at level 11 forest view and there was an annual UBS company Dinner held at nearby the hotel. It was by 11pm and the dj is not going anywhere. So I called the hotel concierge to figure what they gonna do. First they told me that they were just aware about this event on the same day 10pm and the hotel staff are not authorised to chase them. The hotel staff have notified the Sentosa island ranger about the event said by Haziq duty manager. Eventually I was shifted to level 9 sea view room. I wouldn’t said this is an Upgrade, The room itself is just right next to the gantry of the Glassdoor and the staff access which means I did not have a moment of peace. I also notice there are marks on the bathroom curtain and stains on the level 3 cafeteria sofa. Overall I was a bit disappointed by the efficiency of the hotel management and the condition of the hotel. The hotel management could have the Right do something about the private event which they bring it up very last minute and have the island ranger to take action relentlessly.

Stayed for two days staycation. Great place for that, to relax. Has its own private beach and good pool. Food options are very good. Good Indian vegetarian options. Staff are courteous and service was very good. Room sea view was very good. Few small things they can improve is: small ants come in the room for a sugar bowl or glass, so we conscious washed them after consuming food or drink. The Shower gel in the bathroom lacks a good cent and foam. That can be improved. Overall, would recommend this place definitely.

Lovely but not relaxing
The Hotel is lovely but be prepared to be invaded by unruly and rude naughty children from privileged families. Parents never look up from their phones while their children create havoc and scream wherever they are in including the restaurants.
