As a Wyndham member, I have stayed at many La Quinta Inns and all have been fine. This one is NOT. These were the issues we had while staying here.
). Keys. We arrived to this location and they couldn’t get into the room we had reserved due to a faulty key system, which is a problem for the entire facility as we had issues with every room we needed to access.
). Safety. My fiancé was approached by a male as she was in her vehicle. He looked at her for a bit then asked, “Are you scared?” He gave her a disturbing smile and then left.
). Food. We were told by our booking agent that the breakfast was a hot breakfast and included eggs, breakfast meat, cereal, yogurt, etc… Specifically said it was not continental, but it was exactly that. Another disappointment.
). Pet deposit. We were told over the phone that there was a $25 pet fee but no deposit. Upon arrival, we were rudely informed that there is a $100 pet deposit and that we could not check in without paying that. Fortunately, we had cash, but we could easily have not been prepared for that as we rarely carry cash on us.
). Room. When they couldn’t access the first room, they put us in a second room that had no AC, no lock on the door, and also issues getting in with the key card. They were willing to leave us in those conditions which is unacceptable. You do not leave guests in a boiling hot room with no locks. Upon my insistence, they found a 3rd room which was still warm but was somewhat bearable.
