A Top Choice for the City
The room and bed were quite comfortable. The staff always had a smile and were very helpful, so we had a good stay. There's a Wanda shopping center right next door where we had really good meals. The pool is a bit small, but it wasn't crowded so we could still exercise. Other potential management improvements are that the Agraria San Francisco toiletries that are pictured on the website were not seen. There are large refillable bottles in the bathrooms so we couldn't tell the brand. The hotel's pro-environment policies are excellent; getting rid of the small plastic bottles is great. It would still be helpful to know the brand of products offered. We loved that we could choose to not have towels or linens changed and also be rewarded for each day we supported green policies. One has to ask for this at check-in or a day before you'd like the service though. Check-in didn't go as smoothly as expected. Although our room was prepaid through Hotels.com, we were told it wasn't and asked to show our receipt. It then still took a few minutes to get in touch with management and confirm the room was pre-paid. Room service is limited at night; no Chinese food, desserts, or wine but only simple western foods like sandwiches and salads. This should be stated more clearly on the menu. Why is it not possible to even get a serving of cake or ice cream or wine at 10 pm? There are no pay-on-demand movies. Only tv channels are available. Still, this is top choice for SJZ at a good price.
