We will definitely booked this hotel next time. It’s in the center of everything. People were nice and helpful. Room was outstandingly very excellent complete with awesome views, clean, and usable with an office desk section. The only thing that’s difficult was using the TV since we can’t understand or read Chinese and we just gave up using television whenever we’re in the room. But we really didn’t felt a need for TV anyways. The proximity to the Bund was a plus since I make it a point to wake up early and do my exercise. The conscience folks were extra helpful as well and the on site restaurant was so awesome to allow us to heat our extra food we stored in the room mini refrigerator. The price charged to us was well worth it. Why opt for 5 star hotel if this one measured up with them? It’s a place to book folks!!! 🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠

Great property with amazing staff and only a short walk from Yu Garden as it is just around the corner from the hotel. The room we were in was perfect in size and had a nice view of the Shanghai skyline. Highly recommended.

As a Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite member, this was by far the worst Marriott property I’ve stayed at. The marketing is completely misleading — the website shows stunning views of the Bund, but even after paying extra for a “view,” we only got a side view where you could barely see one of the towers unless you were pressed up against the window. The staff were not friendly and their English was limited, which made communication frustrating. The hotel feels very dated — bright walls and worn carpets give it a tired look, and the room itself was just average. Charging extra for bottled water in-room is disappointing, especially for a Marriott. The lifts take forever, so be prepared to wait just to get to your floor. The pool also looked old and uninviting — it didn’t look clean, so we decided not to use it. The breakfast was overcrowded and the food quality was very poor. The only real positive is the decent location, but that’s about it. I definitely expected much better from a Marriott property. Would not recommend staying here when visiting Shanghai.

The hotel may look old on the facade but the interior of the room is great. The bedding is comfortable and I rested well while I was there. Location is 5 mins walk from the subway station.

Very convenient location situated close to many shops and places to eat. Walking distance to the Bund and experiences. Hotel property is a bit older and there seems to be construction right across and adjacent to the hotel which dampens the daily views from the room.
