Arrived early and was told by receptionist room hadn't been allocated. She gave us the intro to the hotel, told us about meals, breakfast and facilities etc. We were told to go to the beach and our room would be ready in a couple of hours. Having not moved from the beach, we returned to find we had been relocated to the next door hitel. No apology, discussion or any communication, just done and not even told about it! The reservation lead had done it and left for the day. The receptionist then denied telling us anything and said we would be relocated(one person didnt want to help and went on break!)
She then lied about coming to find us when other members of staff at the beach vouched that we were there and she hadnt come looking. The constant lying , changing stories, poor service and comminication was an awful experience (especially when this was known beforehand). Asked to speak to the manager, nobody around. receptionist was rude, confrontational and mismanaging the situation.
Totally understand at being overbooked, if we were told at the start that they were overbooked and we may be moved, no problem. The fact there was no communication(despite knowing this situation had arisen) is appalling service and client management.
Stayed at the sea view apartments next door, cannot have had a better stay. The staff were amazing, friendly and open, spoke honestly and empathise. Bigger rooms, nicer apartments, friendly people.Will return tothe sea view apartments for sure!!
