This hotel is conveniently located for shopping, as it connects to both the Hyundai Department Store and Coex Mall. However, I faced two disappointing issues during my stay:
First, I chose a room with two double beds, but upon entering, I noticed a large beam positioned directly above one of the beds. This is considered unlucky in some cultures. I spoke to the front desk to see if I could switch to another room, but they informed me that all the two double bed rooms have the same layout. The only option they offered was to upgrade to a suite at my own expense, but that room only has one king bed, meaning I would need to pay for a rollaway bed as well. They won't even cover the rollaway bed cost.
Second, I inquired about a tax refund, but the front desk said, “We cannot offer you a tax refund as you booked through a third party.” I pointed out that I had stayed at another hotel, Signiel, just days earlier and received a tax refund despite booking through Hotels.com. The front desk replied, “Only some hotels can process tax refunds.” It felt as if they were assigning blame to me rather than properly addressing the situation.
