It was ok. The hotel is old and it showed! The staff was unprofessional (but not rude or unfriendly) and could have perhaps been a family from India running the show. I think they lived there. No professional uniforms, smelled a little like marajuana and home cooking through the hallways near guest rooms. Most alarming was that the side door was not locked, so anyone could have walked in near guest rooms. You did not have to go through the front entrance. No key card needed from outdoor access!!
We also had to request our room to be cleaned and refreshed because they did not do it the first night. The second night they did, but as we were arriving back from a long day, so we had to wait (this was after we told them when we’d be back).
The positive was that they allowed us to stay an hour after check out which helped us tremendously before our flight home. Also, the area was great with lots of restaurants and stores nearby. Also close to the freeway and 20min in traffic to Brown University and the airport.
