This hotel was chosen as it was close to my boyfriend's grandpa's memorial.
The hotel is definitely very dated and could use some remodeling. This hotel's cleanliness though, is above average. Also, the rooms each have a kitchenette. Regular sized fridge, mini stove, microwave, sink, a little dishwasher, and even some plates, pots, and silverware were included. If you were looking to save money and not eat out, this would be a great hotel for that.
We did have an incident with the staff though, that makes me not rate this hotel very highly. When we checked in, my boyfriend needed to move some money in his bank accounts real quick for the incidentals as we prepaid the room. It literally took him less than a minute. The employee at the counter stated she wanted to go on a smoke break and gave us our keys without putting a card down for the incidentals as she did not want to wait. She was nice and nothing bad about the interaction. We came back to our room on the second night of our stay, tired and just wanting to get into our room, and our keys had been deactivated. We went down to the desk and they basically made us re-check in (even though we were leaving early the next morning) because we did not have the card down for incidentals. They did not try to call us or even leave a note on our room door, just inactivated our keys and prevented us from getting to our things. Very irritating and unprofessional. This hotel definitely needs to do some better training with the staff.
