Everything about the property was wonderful. The staff was friendly. The gym was great. The room was beautiful and comfortable. The location was very convenient to everything we wanted to see and do in downtown Seattle. The only negative (that was not really a big thing) is the bathroom lights are on a motion timer. If someone got up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, the light turned on when someone turned the corner, waking everyone else up. Similarly, the light turned off when I was in the shower, putting me in the dark until I threw a towel across the room to trigger the motion sensor. But overall, we had a wonderful stay! I'd highly recommend staying at the Fairmont to anyone.

Booked the hotel as one who appreciates Historical places. Looked newly renovated, but glue? or paint? showing on walls where wallpaper was - looked messy and unfinished(hallway and in room bathroom). Also, asked how to get to Pike’s Market (walking) and was told what streets to take. Street full of homeless persons and drug activity. Not a good choice for walking and walking with a family. On way back, deliberately took a different route and much better. Misc: no trash cans in the halls and trash/food not picked up that people set outside their rooms; 2 elevators seemed (felt and sounded) very unsafe. Wanted to like this hotel, but probably wouldn’t stay there again. Too expensive for what you got (many, many extra fees).

Our room was dirty. Him wrappers between bed and nightstand. Pull out bed has crumbs in the sheets. Dinner had hotel restaurant had very soggy fries. For $35 I expect better. Property did not comp or discount anything upon hearing my concerns.

One of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed in. The service was impeccable and the hotel was beautiful. It has a 100 year history and even though it was recently renovated they’ve retained the historical vibe. Would stay here again for sure.
