Great First Hill Seattle hotel choice.

Stayed for 6 nights while relative in hospital nearby. Very comfortable bed, clean, and great location. Has a restaurant attached to purchase food and drink, but other options within walking distance. Initially garage was tricky to figure out but not difficult, add extra fee ($40-45) if you need to park car. All other hotels charge parking fee. Staff at front desk were all very nice and helpful. Highly recommend.

Only a quick overnight to go see the Blue Jays, great location, easy parking, walkable to the pier, T-Mobile and Lumen. Only issue was the heat/cooling unit only seemed to blow hot not cold. Would definitely stay here again.

Disappointed this hotel advertised valet parking. At check in the person at the desk seemed annoyed I would even ask about it but I double checked that it is listed on the property details page. Was also disappointed all of the hotel guests had to share one elevator with the housekeeping team. Several times we waited and waited for the elevator only for it to open with a housekeeper and a huge bin of laundry inside, so was impossible to use. Talked to a lot of other guests (also waiting in line for the elevator) who agreed the hotel is not a great experience. I guess that explains the low price. Lesson learned lol The one nice thing was the check in process is digital so you can do it all ahead of time. I appreciated that considering they only ever seem to have one person half way behind the counter/running around.

My husband fell down the stairs…. but if you’re looking for walkable and on a budget this place is okay. From many other reviews it seems like the second elevator has been “under maintenance” for a long while so lots of waiting for the elevator. My biggest concern was that my husband slipped down the stairs in the lobby and the staff just barely glanced in our direction. No wet floor sign and it wasn’t raining at that time so not like his shoes were wet. Luckily we’re young and his body was forgiving but I can’t imagine if someone who was older fell down the stairs especially if the staff doesn’t care to make sure it’s dry, a wet floor sign is out, or when you do actually fall down said stairs. It’s an old building so obviously has its quirks, like zero air flow so windows need to be opened to get air but that also means all the sounds of the city at night as well. Checking in was confusing. They have a kiosk to check you in (and i love a contactless check in) but I don’t think it’s a great system. It was ai would’ve received a qr code and never received that email but they also give you the option to check in with your name and check out date - didn’t let me check in that way either. I appreciated the walkable location and the room itself was okay for a weekend work trip but if you’re looking to stay longer or are older, I wouldn’t recommend.

Very dated compared to the pictures online. Toilet would shake the entire floor when flushed. Window felt and sounded like it was open even though it wasn’t. $40 for fresh towels??. Had to wait 5 cycles of the elevator to get downstairs with bags since one is out of service. Parking is offsite. Won’t be staying here again.
