Unicoi Pines is a charming 2 bedroom dog friendly cabin and a perfect choice for a couples getaway, or a family of 4. Unicoi Pines an easy 5 minute drive from the village of Alpine Helen, where there's a little bit of everything going on. Zip Lining, The Georgia Mountain Coaster, Zip Lining, to Tubing and Waterpark, for a little adventure . . . or visit the shops, great restaurants, golf, and fun activities for all ages.

This area also is home to award winning wines from several local wineries and vineyards. If craft beer is more your style, Tantrum Brewing Company, Georgia's first agritourism brewery, with locally grown hops!  Try a beer flight for taste of styles and textures.  Another local favorite, The Jumping Goat, offers delicious coffees, teas, and locally made Honey Meade.

Unicoi Pines is just moments from Unicoi State Park, with more zip lining, hiking, fishing, beach, boat rentals -- and the jewel, Anna Ruby Falls.  The mile paved pet friendly walk to Anna Ruby Falls is a must do anytime you're here.  Kayaking, canoeing, or paddle boarding on Unicoi Lake is always a hit!

Unicoi Pines is also a quick drive to Batesville, which offers a totally different vibe than Helen.  The Batesville General Store is fantastic for breakfast or lunch, and then a trip down the Scenic 197 to a local favorite, Mark of the Potter!  The pottery is located on the banks of the Soque River -- the setting is gorgeous, the trout are huge, and the crowds are minimal.  It's another must do when you visit.  You won't be disappointed.

What are you waiting for . . . come on up to Unicoi Pines!

Good stay with a quiet cabin
I booked this cabin for my husband’s birthday. We love Helen and go there a few times a year. The gravel road to the cabin was a little bit washed out, which made for a very, very bumpy ride going up to the property. Once we got to the cabin, I was a bit disappointed to find out that the pilot light was not on for the gas stove. It was going to be very cool in the evenings that weekend, and I was hoping to have the fire going. Also, The king size bed is in the upstairs loft. The stairs to go to the loft were very narrow and a bit difficult to manage in the dark on our first night. Other than these things, we did sleep well, and we very much enjoyed the hot tub on the screened in porch. It was very soothing in the evenings. We enjoyed our stay, and would be willing to book this property again.

Family get away to Helen, GA
Good: easy drive in to Helen, seclusion, comfortable beds, plenty of linens, cute decor Bad: NOT A 2 bedroom, other than the bathroom door, there is not a single door in the place. When we put our kids to bed around 8:30 we had to sit in the silent dark. Even if we could have turned the TV on in the "master" upstairs, we wouldnt have been able to see the TV it is a TINY sceen, mounted awkwardly for ability to see on wall, I would suggest a mount that would allow tvs to swing out/rotate for both the master and living room due to placement of beds/couches. The cabin was not very clean... My kiddos dropped a lego and while i was on the ground looking for it I looked under furnitire and there was dog hair, old socks, and lots of webs/dead spiders... I was really hoping there would be somewhere to have a fire, there is not. its VERY dark... its hard to see to find dishes, etc.

The cabin was nice, private and clean. The only bad thing is the road at the entrance, it is in very bad condition.

We enjoyed our stay. Our favorite part was the hot tub on the screened in deck. The seating could have been better arranged for watching TV. We liked being able to stream our own shows. The kitchen was all we needed it to be. The directions were very hard to follow, and we had a difficult time finding the right place. It would have been nice to know ahead of time that the bathroom and bedroom were not on the same floor. But overall, a nice place.

Cozy Cabin
We loved the charm of this cabin and how cozy it was nestled in the woods. We had a wonderful time with our family and loved the proximity to downtown Helen.

Great Cabin
Had a great visit, all the basics were covered with the rental. Do wish there was basic cable, but it was advertised as streaming only. Had a great vacation and would return.

Cute
Cabin cute already decorated for Christmas. The road to cabin is not marked at all. Should put a sign on dirt road so no confusion or draw a map to make it easier to find. Upstairs fan did not work but still had a great time. Thank you for early check in.

Disappointing.
Absolutely, no privacy. The bed rooms are wide open. Even the one by the kitchen. The sauna leaks. The deck has holes in it and loose rotting boards. The gas fire place has no exhaust so it is inoperative. The access road is not maintained, eroded gravel, that is rutted. The door on the bathroom does not shut without forcing it and the cabin siding is rotting with insects that woodpeckers are attracted to so forget about sleeping in. Security lights cannot be turned off so bring some foil and tape for the windows if you sleep in the dark. Do not stay here unless you enjoy disappointment.
