If craft beer is more your style, Tantrum Brewing Company, Georgia's first agritourism brewery, with locally grown hops! Try a beer flight for taste of styles and textures. Another local favorite, The Jumping Goat, offers delicious coffees, teas, and locally made Honey Meade.
Unicoi Pines is just moments from Unicoi State Park, with more zip lining, hiking, fishing, beach, boat rentals -- and the jewel, Anna Ruby Falls. The mile paved pet friendly walk to Anna Ruby Falls is a must do anytime you're here. Kayaking, canoeing, or paddle boarding on Unicoi Lake is always a hit!
Unicoi Pines is also a quick drive to Batesville, which offers a totally different vibe than Helen. The Batesville General Store is fantastic for breakfast or lunch, and then a trip down the Scenic 197 to a local favorite, Mark of the Potter! The pottery is located on the banks of the Soque River -- the setting is gorgeous, the trout are huge, and the crowds are minimal. It's another must do when you visit. You won't be disappointed.
