Room with a view of the TV tower was excellent! The fact that there is no TV but instead a record player was a nice touch; I haven’t used a record player in ages! (You can borrow a record from the lobby area). We ended up connecting to the BT speaker in the room instead. The bathroom was large! The room was also really large as well (compared to other hotels)! We really enjoyed the canvas rooftop area and the fire pits.

Everything was great. Conveniently located next to the train station. Check-in was easy and room was spacious I think for Japanese hotel standards. I liked how it was styled for hip vibe than a business hotel. View of Sapporo tv tower from our room was special and the bar lounge was cozy!

Clean room but tight and very basic. No place for opening the suitcase and limited space to hang clothes. Difficult for more our 6 night/ stay. We like the location, very convenient. The record player in the room is a novelty.

Quiet and clean hotel, with fantastic amenities, in a beautiful and convenient location. I loved the holistic vibe of the hotel, but what I really loved was the convenient location. It's across the street from the lovely Odori Park. Don't worry about heat, rain or snow. The entrance to Aurora Town, an underground mall/walkway, connected to Odori subway station (access to the Tozai line, Toho line and Namboku line) is, literally, just outside the front door. Through this underground labyrinth, you can access the subterranean avenue, Sapporo Ekimae-Dori (just follow the sign for the Namboku line). Ekimae-Dori will give you a straight shot to Sapporo Station (with JR Rail), and Daimaru department store. What's more, through the underground walkway, it's only a 10 minutes walk, instead of 15 minutes on surface streets. The hotel is merely 4-15 minutes walk to most attractions, including Sapporo Clock Tower, Nijo Fish Market, MEGA Don Quixote, Daimaru Fuji Central (4-storey stationary store) and tons of department stores and local shopping. Perfect for the jetlagged insomniacs, the area also hosts many eateries that are open til dawn; if not 24 hours. Within a 10 minutes walk, I had really great tonkatsu at 3:00 a.m. 4.2 stars rated ramen shop at 5:00 a.m. The next time I'm in Sapporo, I will definitely stay at the Royal Park Canvas again. Until then, I'm really going to miss the night view of the Sapporo TV Tower, and that heated Toto bidet.

Through the Aurora Town underground access, just in front of the hotel, you can enter the Odori subway station: Tozai, Toho and Nambuku lines. Follow the sign for the Nambuku line to Ekimae-Dori, and you'll also connect to Sapporo station (JR Rail)
