N3 team will welcome you and will be available for anything you may need during your stay.
The house is set on a hilltop location with an unique beautiful view on both sides. To the west, you can see the hills and mountains of the inner Alentejo in the distance. To the east, there is the coastline with its spectacular sunsets.
You'll be a 10 minute walk or few minutes drive from Cercal do Alentejo, a typical Portuguese village with shops, cafes and restaurants where you can either shop for all your groceries or eat out and enjoy the traditional Alentejo dishes if you don't feel like cooking. We've put together a guidebook with all our favorite places!
The nearby Costa Vicentina (15-20 min drive) offers some of the most beautiful beaches in Portugal and scenic hiking routes.
The cottage has a private parking space next to it. There is a public bus from Milfontes to Cercal a few times a day and you could take a taxi or walk (ca. 15 mins) to the cottage, although for getting to and from the beaches and nearby villages it's definitely recommended to come by car. Please note that the last 500m to the cottage are dirt road.
Our neighbours own a working farm with cows, hens and geese, sometimes the cows are on the pasture next to the house (separated by wall on our side and fence on theirs). You probably won't notice them, they feed and sleep somewhere else. There is the occasional tractor passing by on the road. Country life at its best:)
