A cute older property. Needed a flashlight to access the after hours room key lockbox. Had to call twice to get the lockbox code. Need new beds. Otherwise the room was clean and acceptable.

This is my first time at The M. I am pleasantly impressed with this hotel. Plenty of parking. There is a beautiful, peaceful English garden. It’s very quaint. The room was a suite. A separate living area from the bedroom and bathroom. Spacious closet. The bathroom was large and clean. I will definitely stay again.

When we checked out, an additional $20 charge was added to our bill. When we questioned this charge, we were told that it was a "service fee" for towels, coffee in the room, etc. Very shady.

Booked this hotel because it was pet friendly and also down the street from a favorite bar! It was a cute cozy small room with an entrance to the back garden which was beautiful! My dog loved playing fetch out there.

Overall, the hotel was cute, clean, and the staff was friendly enough. Unfortunately, the bathroom heater was broken, a main lighting fixture had burnt out bulbs, there was a large gap under the front door that would allow critters in, and the bathroom faucet was loose and falling apart. This was certainly not the worst place I’ve ever stayed, but these little details add up.

Some of the rooms have a back door that leads to a beautiful garden with tables, chairs and string lighting lit at night! Shaded and beautiful with a lovely water fountain! Fabulous shower! Comfortable bed!

Great little cottage inn. Parking is a bit tight, but lots of street parking in front so no problem. It’s an aged building with charm. All the amenities are great too. Pet friendly yes. I’d recommend this for those who enjoy classical charm of Solvang. A
