The service was the best part, everyone is friendly and helpful. I wish I could remember his name, but he checked me in and out, and he was wonderful! He noticed that I missed breakfast that morning and he offered me chocolate! I've never had a hotel address me by name or offer me anything. The breakfast was great the one time I did try it, lots of options. The room was quite and cozy with the fireplace. The jetted tub was amazing, especially after a tour of the Castle and then a walk on the Moonstone Beach Boardwalk. The worst part, for me, was the bed. It was so hard, my back injury flared up for the entire week. Other than that, everything was great. I didn't go to the pool or hot tub but it looked nice, especially with the fire pit. The restaurant on site was incredible, the food was divine and the service was fantastic! I wish I could say that I'd go back, but the beds are too uncomfortable for me.

A quirky place to stay. It is a convenient location, but it is not as secure as most motels. Anyone can enter the buildings via side entrances without a key. The door lock seemed to function upside down, and there were many little quirks around the building. Stay was very nice, though. Had plenty of breakfast - although I wish they had real oatmeal vs instant... Funky lil thin bacon strips too... Overall it was a nice place to stay. Just quirky... for the price. Oh, and we had a balcony view of Hwy 1 and the buildings across the street, but we could occasionally see the ocean too.

It may be a modest hotel but the facilities are sparkling ckean, the included breakfast was great with many options, the staff was very efficient and cordial and the owner went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. A great experience!

Room was spotless and just around the corner from breakfast in the morning, which was convenient with small children. We didn’t get to try out the pool but it was open til 10pm and heated! Parking was great. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Look forward to staying here again!

Warm welcome with fresh cookies. Easy quick checkin. Comfy clean, huge rooms. Heated pool & hot tub. No AC but didn’t need it. You can hear ocean waves at night. Amazing breakfast & service. We felt treated like family. Definitely coming back again! Thx so much.

First off the front desk was exceptional, The rooms were so clean ,huge bathroom, very comfortable the room that I had had a balcony that looked over the garden, They have a out door heated pool It was so nice and hot tub and fire pit .Breakfast was 5 stars so good ,Complimentary coffee and tea The best was their hot out of the oven chocolate chip cookies So Good. They do have a restaurant but it is closed on Mondays will try it the next time, Literally the best hotel I have stayed at in San Simeon.Highly Recommend them

Woke up feeling so refreshed after a wonderful night's sleep. The room was super clean and incredibly cozy, making it the perfect place to unwind. And wow, that breakfast was absolutely delicious! It really set us up perfectly for a busy day ahead. We always have such a fantastic experience here. It's honestly one of our favorite places to stay. We always leave feeling completely rejuvenated and happy. We're already looking forward to our next visit!
