In the Macerata hinterland, located on a hill from which in the past was ensured the control of the main communication routes, from the sea to the interior, and in an area of considerable historical and artistic interest for the finding of numerous archaeological remains from the Picena period, Villa alla Torre conquers above all for his fascinating view of the colourful hilly landscape that makes the Marche unique.
Your gaze will follow the slope of the hill and will be lost among the thousand villages that animate the valley below and then go up to fly over the Sibillini, the blue mountains of Leopardian memory and even see the Gran Sasso d’Italia on days with a clear sky.
Olive and oak trees delimit the property which is far enough to guarantee absolute privacy from the surrounding streets and houses. The large stone manor house is flanked by two small service structures, also in stone, in a picturesque courtyard. There is also a small garden with a well and a comfortable swimming pool with a sunbathing area, with deck chairs and umbrellas, and a covered area with table and chairs where it will be possible to take refuge to read a book but also to enjoy aperitifs, long drinks or to have a chat with friends or in intimacy.
Behind the Villa, you will be protected by a high tower, that of the Castle of Pitino, which was once used to spot the invading enemy, but which today is a destination for walking and cycling that, among the many nature trails in the area, will conquer surely you too.
The villa has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, a large lounge and a comfortable dining room. In addition, one of the two external artifacts houses has a room where you can sit down to be in a group, eat but also take a relaxing break.
Inside you will find clean, bright and very welcoming rooms. The suggestive black and white photos on the walls recall the past of one of the liveliest centers of the hinterland, that of San Severino Marche, a city of art that boasts one of the most beautiful squares in Italy and a unique collection of pictorial works, preserved in the art gallery, among which also stands out in Pinturicchio together with several canvases, polyptychs and altarpieces of inestimable value. The rustic style, of the brick floors and exposed wooden beams, offers the warmth and atmosphere of hospitality typical of the Marche region, a plural region designed for the singular.
Not far from here there are several places to visit: the city of San Severino Marche precisely with its ovoid square, the city of Macerata with its Sferisterio which every year hosts a unique opera festival in Europe, several seaside resorts that from Porto Recanati they go up to Sirolo, Numana, Portonovo and Mount Conero. And then the extraordinary Frasassi Caves, the Sibillini mountains, with the National Park, are about an hour’s drive away. Less than fifteen minutes away from the regional natural reserve of Monte San Vicino and Monte Canfaito with millenary beech forest and the small town of Elcito, the “Tibet of the Marche”. Just over half an hour away by car, there are also several outlets with the biggest names in Italian fashion, from footwear to clothing.
