Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities
This was my first stay at the Madonna Inn, booked for my birthday. We reserved a Crystal Room suite for 4 days and 3 nights. A couple of months before our arrival, we called to pre-order the pink champagne cake and were put on hold to speak with Jesse, the bakery manager. While we understood they were short-staffed, my husband was trying to find a solution for our birthday celebration. Unfortunately, Jesse was quite rude, repeatedly saying, "I'm not following you," in a dismissive tone. This experience led us to cancel our dinner reservation at Alex's Goldrush Steakhouse and instead dine at Novo, which was fantastic.
When we arrived, check-in was smooth, but parking was a major issue. There’s no designated parking, and we had to park far from our room, unloading our luggage without help. When I called the staff, they simply said, "Just park wherever you find a spot."
On the second night, which was my birthday, a car alarm went off all night near our room, and I couldn’t sleep. The hotel is noisy, with thin walls where you can hear everything outside. We also requested housekeeping, but since it was after 3 PM, they only dropped off towels in a plastic bag without taking out the trash or making the beds.
The Madonna Inn is overhyped. I recommend saving your money and staying elsewhere.
