This custom built home is elevated in an acre of tropical gardens , with hummingbirds feeding on your balcony, relax on the hammock and enjoy the bird song. You're a 20 minute walk to Mayan ruins & downtown

This *gold Standard custom built vacation home with Free High Speed Wi-fi is set in a secure 1.5 acre gated compound, along with two other vacation homes, each strategically sited for optimal privacy and with over 100 trees and shrubs on the grounds you're soon whisked away to another world.

Your large open plan (studio) home offers:
Kitchen with double door fridge/freezer, 4 ring stove with oven, toaster, coffee maker, kettle and all the pots, pans. crockery and cutlery, sink with drainer and of course hot & cold water. A small table with seating for two.
Bedroom with ceiling fan, you have a queen size orthopaedic pillow top mattress, bedside tables with lamp, pedestal fan, and naturally all your bedding and blankets are supplied.
Other: Love seat, small tv with over 200 cable channel's.

Separate to your studio area you will find:
Bathroom with whirlpool bath - lots of jets and bubbles ! a over the bath shower , wash basin with hot & cold water, toilet and of course bath towels, hand towels, face cloth's along with hand soap
Closet: large walk in closet with plenty of hanging space and a large chest of drawers
Balcony wrap round balcony with seating for two and a hammock
Other Points, free parking, all windows and door have insect mesh, unlimited potable purified water is supplied and a small selection of tea bags, filtered coffee provided on arrival, enough for your first morning !
*as we know some of the night noises may be strange to you, complimentary ear plugs are supplied, a white noise machine is also available by request for duration of your stay

Free parking is available on site, and you of course have access to all the gardens

The rental unit is located on over a acre of sub tropical gardens, which also includes another 3 rentals the family home, there is always a family member on site to help with any questions / queries.

Sanpopo is within walking distance of town, the market, Cahal Pech Mayan Ruins and Green Iguana Conservation Project and if you don't feel like walking hop on one of the many taxi's that pass right by the entrance. With it's tree top setting in sub tropical gardens you will feel like you have been whisked away to another world, and it will feel like you are living in the jungle, close enough for you to enjoy the facilities of the town, but away from the hustle & bustle to allow you to get back in touch with nature. A mere 20 minute walk to Cahal Pech Maya Ruins and the Iguana Sanctuary and the famous Xunantunich is less than 8 miles away !

The Cayo district with it's countryside, hills, farms, streams and forest,
is an area rich in outdoor activities and sites offering experiences such as -
Maya Ruins, Iguana Sanctuary, Botanical Gardens, Butterfly Gardens, Horse Back Riding Tours,
Macal River, Black Rock Lodge, Big Rock Falls, Rio Frio Caves,
River For Swimming, Tubing or canoeing, Jungle Activities Including Zip Lining
and all of this still less than two hours from the fantastic Caribbean Beach

We are only a fifteen minute walk from San Ignacio town centre, or if you prefer a taxi , they pass by the property every couple of minutes. San Ignacio centre has bus links throughout the country

All tourism tax and any other applicable tax is included in the nightly rate - no extra charges on arrival.

We work very closely with several local tour operators who offer competitive rates for our guests. Should you require assistance with booking tours and / or airport shuttle / taxi we will gladly assist.
Tours booked through ourselves will include collection and return to your cottage at no extra cost .

No smoking in the cabin but you are welcome to smoke on the veranda and in the gardens, we are 420 friendly

Dogs live on the premises, one has full access to all the garden, the rest are fenced in on our private property
