Easy to walk to pier 39 or Ghirardelli. Fabulous staff everyone was polite and helpful. Food was great as provided , coffee was delicious and hot. This is our second time staying here. We wouldn't stay anywhere else.

If you are traveling by car be prepared to pay 1/3 the price of your room rate to park your vehicle. They hide the price of parking in the amenities on the web page description. I was shocked when I was told I had to pay $60 to park.

Acceptabe but not great
Loud, not all that clean and crowded with tour groups. The acclaimed breakfast was like eating in a student cafeteria. Dont expect high end service. As San Francisco hotels go, it was a deal but I would not stay there again.

Check-in was fast and easy! Staff was fantastic! Bartender at the bar was awesome! Location is also amazing! My room was upgraded for free and they discounted my parking because of Expedia! Plus their parking is on-site and covered. One of the best stays!

Go-to Hotel in San Francisco
When I stay in San Francisco, I choose the RIU. It‘s perfectly located in walking distance to Fisherman‘s Wharf and Pier 39. There‘s also Public transportation just around the corner. The breakfast buffet is nice, with a good and fresh selection of fruit, salad, hot items and bagels. The Fitness area is clean and is well tended to. Excellent staff who are always proactively looking out for you.
