The checkin experience was very bed - they gave room which is very bed and insisted they I should upgrade by paying additional $50 - even that was not having a proper view - hot water at shower was malfunctioning . For any matter I was asked to call Hotel.com - which also did not helped

A tasteful historical hotel nested near Union Squa
I usually stay at Marriott across the street, and I was happy to book this historical hotel. The room was perfect for one person business travels, with comfortable bed, tasteful deco, thoughtful design. The service and atmosphere at the Post restaurant and bar were superb, and the food and drink impressive. I will stay here again.

Overall a disappointing stay. We were in a very tiny room with an awkward layout. The TV wasn’t aligned in a way that faces the bed. The building seemed quite old and there were lots of stains especially on the walls near the floor. It doesn’t seem like it was cleaned thoroughly. The bathroom was tiny and there were some ?pipe sounds that was nonstop. We asked to move d to a bigger room after having a not-so-great first night and the first front desk person was helpful and told us to ask later on after 4pm when checkout was done, which seemed reasonable. When we got back and I asked again, the night shift front desk gentleman seemed annoyed that I even asked. He said there were some rooms available but were facing towards the area where there were protests. The location itself is pretty good as it’s centrally located and there were many shops and restaurants that were walkable. Anyway, I was a bit disappointed overall as this place had really good reviews and I just didn’t have a great experience.

Vallet stole our phone
The stay itself was OK they were drums going most of our time in the room from the protests. We’ve all later car paid $75 for valet just for the valet to steal a cell phone from the car, we had a location services turned on this phone and it kept going from the parking garage to the hotel. They were telling us they had no idea what we were talking about.. we walked down to the parking garage, and in that time it made its way back to the hotel and then somehow ended up in the car after we searched the car for over 45 mins . This made us feel so unsafe and like we could not trust this expensive vallet and ended up taking the car early cause we didn’t trust our things being in there

The reservation was for VIP. My 2 drink vouchers were not given at check-in. I had to ask for them. They were nice to drop them off to my room. The person that checked me in spoke very low I really had a hard time hearing him. It came with bottled water which is always a plus. The bed was comfortable. Though several protesters at Marriot were loud. The room was not bad, the clock is broken. The restroom was beautiful. The room was average, the price was high. Location was great. Close to union square.
